Bio

Ms. Batchelor is a McKenzie native and graduated from MHS in 1975.  She has been married to Steve for thirty-nine years and they have one son, Max, and two cats, Robert Redford and Prince Harry. Ms. Batchelor loves reading, knitting, photography, and is an avid hiker. She maintains a personal blog at www.thehikinglibrarian.com.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Ms. Batchelor is a member of the American Library Association (ALA), American Association of School Librarians (AASL), Tennessee Library Association (TLA), and the Tennessee Association of School Librarians (TASL).  She is a Past President(2014) of TASL (www.tasltn.org). 

Nationally, Ms. Batchelor served on the American Association of School Librarians Board of Directors and as Chair of the AASL Affiliate Assembly, as well as chairing several awards committees.

Currently, Ms. Batchelor serves as the President of the McKenzie Public Library Enrichment Foundation.

EXPERIENCE
